Obviously shotgun does - I assume the game tracks the difference between a player-fired shotgun and that of a fellow shoppie? Does the game hold the murders committed by hired hands against the player? I also am pretty sure explosions from player bombs do. My question today is - do we know the exhaustive list of how the game shoppies define unforgivable murder? I’ve been experimenting lately and I was somewhat surprised to find that telefragging (teleporting into a shoppie) does count as murder, but freeze ray and shatter does not. But can also happen if the end guard is killed or pacified by environment things rather than the player. Since a shopkeeper usually guards the normal exit and would notice you attempting to approach forgiveness is most commonly achieved by exiting other exits (black market, Moai, worm tongue, golden door, mothership, haunted tomb). ![]() Every second stage after the first shopkeeper-angering moment - so if you anger shoppies in 1-2 forgiveness first could occur in 1-4 then 2-2 - if you exit a stage without being shopkeeper-noticed you will forever be forgiven of your past crimes and shopkeepers will be docile then forward (unless you commit another crime of course).
